Dr. Karen Calendo is an Associate Professor of Health Care Management and Discipline Chair of Management. She teaches a range of core management courses within the College of Business and the Accelerated Degree Program. She is also the author of a Christian-focused OER textbook, Principles of Management. 


Dr. Calendo teaches across academic levels in health care management and business management. She joined Concordia University Chicago in 2018 following 15 years of professional experience in public health administration, with an emphasis on community-based programs.

Prior to joining Concordia University Chicago, Dr. Calendo served as Associate Director and Associate Instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was also the founder of the UW-Milwaukee Entrepreneurship Veterans Program.
