Register Now: Careers for Christ Weekend | Fall 2026
High school students interested in exploring LCMS church work professions are invited to attend Concordia University Chicago’s Careers for Christ Weekend—a free, three-day event designed for those considering a life of service in ministry.
The weekend begins with check-in at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, and concludes Monday afternoon, October 12. You'll take part in hands-on sessions, meet future classmates and professors, and discover how CUC prepares students to serve in church work vocations.
There’s no cost to attend. Meals, housing, activities, and a Careers for Christ T-shirt are all included.
What You’ll Experience:
- Learn about CUC’s Lutheran, pre-professional church work programs
- Meet faculty and students preparing for ministry careers
- Take part in a group outing in the Oak Park/River Forest area
- Tour our 40-acre campus just 10 miles from Chicago
Important Note for Families:
After Saturday’s welcome reception, all weekend activities are designed specifically for students. Parents and adult leaders are encouraged to return for Monday’s visit day, which includes programming just for them.

Is there a cost to participate?
No. Housing, meals and all scheduled activities for student participants are provided at no cost throughout the weekend.
Where will students stay?
Students will stay in residence halls alongside current Concordia University Chicago students. Participants should bring their own bedding. A detailed packing list will be emailed to all registered students in advance.
Can students request a roommate?
Yes. Roommate requests can be submitted through the online registration form.
Can parents or guardians attend?
Yes. Parents and adult leaders are welcome to join students for the welcome reception and Monday Visit Day activities.
Are overnight accommodations available for families?
Overnight accommodations are not included for families. Parents and guests are encouraged to make off-campus lodging arrangements. Any updates regarding limited on-campus guest housing will be shared in the fall after enrollment and residence hall capacity are finalized.
